IGLESIA DE DORADO 2017

SI ESTÁS AHÍ APARECE… is a display of a serie of ink drawings of structure found in every town plaza of the island and which represent the interaction of the human faith with these simple but beautiful buildings called the Church.

Five churches’ drawings presented are: Iglesia de Cayey, Iglesia de Guayama, Iglesia de Ponce, Iglesia de Yauco and Iglesia de Dorado. Each is easily recognized by the detailed art drawing of their facades, where their religious patrons socially interact and dutifully express their most inner feelings of love and spirituality.  They seek for redemption, help in adversity and express gratitude when compensated and feeling closer to God.  They are absent here, but that is the invisible force that gives life and soul to these inert structures.
